Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to give relaxation in property taxes and many other taxes collected at provincial level to businessmen affected from the ongoing development work on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), according to a news source. The concerned departments have been asked to submit a report in this regard.
The measure has been taken to reduce difficulties of the businessmen having outlets on the Peshawar Metro Bus route, passing from Nothia, Saddar and Peshawar City. Reportedly, development work on the project is being carried out 24 hours a day to ensure its on-time completion.
In addition to these taxes, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khatak is also looking to give discounts to the business community of Peshawar under different heads, including reduction in electricity and gas tariffs.
