Rawalpindi: Starting June 2, the British Airways will resume its flights between London and Islamabad–according to a news source. This route is being revived after 11 years, and the airline will operate three flights per week on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
This information was shared by the British Airways in a recent press release, which stated that the airline would start operations for three flights per week from the Islamabad International Airport (IIA) to London Heathrow.
The Boeing 787 Dreamline is the airline’s newest long-haul aircraft, and has three passenger classes: World Traveller (Long-haul Economy), World Traveller Plus (Long-haul Premium Economy), and Club World (Long-haul Business Class). It is also 20% more fuel-efficient than equivalent aircrafts, and comes equipped with a state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system.
The IIA is preparing for the resumption of these flights along with thoroughly reviewing their security arrangements. It has initiated the deployment of police outside the facility.
