The development plans for Islamabad are massive and the investors are looking forward to seeing addition of some really valuable properties in the southern outskirts of Pakistan’s capital. According to credible news sources, Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning on one huge development in this regard. Included in CDA’s plan is the expansion of Islamabad Highway from Zero Point to Rawat. Once the project completes, reaching Rawat from Islamabad would only be a 15 minutes deal.

As observed by Zameen.com, the value and demand of Islamabad properties has lately increased, making the city one of the most sought after one among investors from both Pakistan and overseas. Although the rate of property in CDA’s zone located near Rawat and other housing societies including DHA, Bahria Town and Soan Gardens have experienced noticeable hikes during 2013 but the coming few years will prove rather substantial for them. With south of Islamabad becoming more easily accessible, the property investments made here can get mature sooner than expected by many.

It is also claimed by news sources that extension of Islamabad Highway to Rawat, by making it a 10 lane signal-free smooth route to the area, may make Rawat the New Islamabad in coming few years. It is now finally time for Rawat and its adjoining areas to experience the infrastructural development necessary for materializing the plans devised for development of Pakistan’s Federal Capital. Along with extension of Islamabad Highway, work is also in progress on Kashmir Highway to make it a widened and signal-free route.

The emerging housing societies located along and near Rawat are also catching up with CDA’s plans to cash this opportunity. In fact, many of these societies are now ready for construction of houses.
