Islamabad: The Senate’s Standing Committee for Cabinet Secretariat has instructed the concerned authorities to mark the boundaries of existing housing societies located around the new Islamabad international airport, according to a news source. The orders were issued by the committee chairman Senator Talha Mehmood.
In addition to marking the boundaries, the concerned departments have also been told to fix the boards for commercial and residential projects, while instructions have already been given to stop illegal construction work in the area. The report further states that audits will be done for societies for which NOCs have already been issued.
The committee has also asked deputy commissioners for Attock and Rawalpindi, town municipal administrators of Fateh Jang, and the administration of Rawalpindi Development Authority to appear in the next committee meeting.
