Gujrat: The Punjab Board of Revenue (BoR) has been asked to submit a final summary for the creation of four new districts in Punjab, news sources reported. The approval in this regard has already been issued by the provincial cabinet.

According to sources, the final plan would be presented to the government in one week, after which the Punjab will have four additional districts: Murree, Talagang, Wazirabad, and Taunsa Sharif. According to BoR sources, the summary is in its final form, with decisions pending on the number of tehsils in each district.

Following final approval, new tehsils will be established in each district, along with new administrative buildings. As per the BoR sources, the creation of new districts is part of the government’s vision of better administration of resources in the province. The new districts will be have the following tehsils:
