Lahore: Provincial Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday directed the Board of Revenue (BoR) to make the mobile Arazi Centres of Punjab functional at the earliest, a news source reported. He gave the said directives during a meeting on reforms in the BoR.

During the meeting, the CM stated that the provincial government would introduce important reforms on revenue matters and devise a composite system to facilitate the citizens. He ordered the formation of a committee for the introduction of departmental reforms – headed by Law Minister Raja Basharat.
The said committee would submit its recommendations within seven days and decisions would be taken based on these. Meanwhile, CM Buzdar said that the incumbent government was taking practical steps for eliminating the archaic patwari culture. Highlighting the need for introducing composite reforms for improving revenue affairs, he added that the government was committed to creating ease for the citizens.

The CM also revealed that the Punjab government would increase the number of Arazi Centres to provide relief to the citizens.
