Lahore: Board of Revenue (BOR) has been assigned the task of digitising all the records of properties located in Punjab’s cities – a news source reported on January 12. Previously the task had been assigned to Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA).

The project had been facing delays for the past year due to a variety of reasons, so in order to speed up the process, now it will only be executed by BOR. The board will perform the tasks of digitisation in collaboration with the World Bank. The records of all multi-story buildings and commercial and residential properties will be digitised.

Speaking to the media, PLRA spokesman stated that the two provincial bodies had previously held meetings with World Bank to proceed on the matter. However, according to latest decision, BOR will be performing the digitation alone with assistance from World Bank.
