Lahore: The Bank of Punjab (BoP) is organizing roadshows in several cities of the United States of America (USA) to promote the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative, according to news published on July 18. These roadshows are being held with the assistance of the Pakistani embassy in the USA, and various consulate offices across the country.

The aim behind these roadshows is to introduce the benefits of RDA to non-resident Pakistanis (NRPs) in the USA and help them avail maximum advantage of the programme. The attendees will be encouraged to use formal banking channels to send remittances to Pakistan.
Recently, the 45th annual convention of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani-descent of North America was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The said event was attended by thousands of Pakistani doctors and physicians. During this 3-day convention in Atlantic City, BoP managed an exhibition booth where their attendees could get information and register for the RDA.

In another related development, an exclusive one-hour session was also held by BoP, which was attended by Pakistani Ambassador to the USA Masood Khan, and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor Dr Murtaza Syed. The session ended with the concluding remarks from the BoP president. The seminar also included a question/answer session where the attendees were briefed about the importance of the right timing when it comes to prime investment opportunities.
