Islamabad: The Board of Investment (BoI) on Monday has launched three online platforms intended to reduce the hurdles in business and economic activities for both foreign and domestic investors, news sources reported. The three portals will provide online registration for zone enterprises as well as a database of current and future investors.

The three platforms launched are:
Pakistan Regulatory Modernization Initiative Strategy (PRMI) launched by World Bank Country Director Najy Benhassine
Special Economic Zone Management System (SEZMIS) launched by British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner
Investor Relationship Management System (IRMS) inaugurated by Senior Private Sector Specialist IFC Charles Schneider

Furthermore, Secretary of the BoI, Fareena Mazhar, outlined the objective behind the platform’s debut, stating that the technology will assist expedite the investment process and minimise the long turnover time. Furthermore, the dignitaries and participants stated that digitization and consolidating all investment-related facilities in one place, in addition to the Pakistan Business Portal (PBP), will benefit investors and assist in bringing about sustainable regulatory reforms.
