Islamabad: Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Pakistan Atif R. Bokhari recently invited French entrepreneurs and businesspersons to consider investing in the country’s various special economic zones (SEZs), a news source reported.

As per the publication, Chairman BOI invited the French investors to invest in information technology, construction and housing, food processing, tourism, and the agricultural sectors. He said that the French investors could take advantage of the country’s liberal investment regime, and its current stable security situation.

Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF) — the largest business federation of France — recently held a webinar at the French Embassy in Islamabad and Pakistan’s embassy in Paris. Chairman BOI Arif R. Bokhari delivered the keynote speech on the occasion. He also encouraged the French businesspersons to invest in the Information Technology Park — currently being developed in Islamabad. Pakistan’s Ambassador to France Moin ul Haque also attended the webinar at the Paris embassy.
