Quetta: Caretaker Balochistan Chief Minister Alauddin Mari has directed the provincial Board of Investment (BoI) to find ways of attracting foreign investment to the province, stated a news report. Mari said that efforts need to be intensified to bring foreign investment in Balochistan.
These statements came during a BoI session, attended by BoI Chairman Rohail Baloch, and various other dignitaries. The session concluded on the note that the BoI would establish an office in Karachi, allowing greater access to foreign investors and strengthening contacts with embassies as well.
Mari also said that a remapping of mineral industries, and other lucrative sectors was required to enhance private investment. He said that areas other than Gwadar had natural resources that could be used to attract business communities.
