Lahore: The Board of Investment (BoI) on Sunday (February 27) organised a one day ‘Pakistan Investors Meet-up 2022’ in Lahore to attract investment from Central Asian Republics (CAR), and African countries, news sources reported. The workshop highlighted the investment potential in the field of agriculture, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, minerals, information technology, engineering and tourism.

According to reports, 100 delegates from several CAR and African countries attended the event. BOI Secretary Fareena Mazhar stated on the occasion that the CAR and African countries have played an important role in the growth of several industries in Pakistan. She stressed the importance of increased cooperation in numerous sectors based on bilateral connections and people-to-people contacts. It was also revealed that the federal government would host a two-day ‘Pakistan Investment Summit, 2022‘ in Islamabad beginning March 30. More than 500 foreign investors from diverse nations are anticipated to attend the event.

Various local manufacturing industries and crafts representatives emphasised the untapped investment potential and asked the countries to invest in joint ventures.
