Lahore: A committee has been formed to identify land for parking spaces in the provincial capital, a news source reported. Lahore Commissioner Dr Mujtaba Paracha constituted the committee.
During his meeting with representatives of Mall Road Traders Association, the commissioner said that the committee would comprise police officials, parking operators, and members of the association. He added that the district administration would not tolerate double parking.
Dr Paracha reiterated the Lahore High Court’s orders to clear Mall Road of illegal parking stands and encroachments as well as remove signboards and flexes installed in the area.
