The PM has appointed his political adviser Naeemul Haq as the board’s chairman. Similarly, Amir Mehmood Kiani, Arshad Dad, Raja Khurram Nawaz, and Arif Abbasi have been made its members.
So far, the government has established three shelter homes in the twin cities. In Islamabad, these buildings are situated at Sector I-II – in the Sabzi Mandi and Tarlai areas. The third shelter home is located in the basement of the parking plaza in Rawalpindi’s Raja Bazaar.
The two shelter homes in Islamabad can accommodate 300 people, while the one situated in Rawalpindi can house 120 people. However, the shelter home in Raja Bazaar is reportedly creating problems for visitors.
