Lahore: The Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) has invited bids for initiating the maintenance and operation services for the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) project connecting Ali Town and Dera Gujran, according to a news source. For this purpose, it has fixed a deadline of August 20.

Prospective bidders have been asked to download the request for proposal (RFP) document, available on the websites of both the PMA and the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
Additional soft copies can be collected from the authority’s headquarters, situated on 5th Floor, Arfa Software Technology Park, 346-B Ferozepur Road, Lahore. These files contain instructions pertaining to maintenance manuals, technical specifications, and concept design. This data forms an integral part of the bidder’s proposals and the aspirants are required to examine its contents.

Prospective bidders are required to submit a bank guarantee worth PKR 18.5 million as bid security under the head ‘The Punjab Masstransit Authority’. As per the instructions communicated, the initial contract for the project will remain in place for eight years, but can be extended based on mutual consent.
The aspirants can share their queries or concerns regarding the project and the documents they have to submit by writing to the PMA’s office or sending an email to the specified address by 29 July.
