Lahore: Provincial Revenue Minister Malik Muhammad Anwer said that the Punjab Government would take steps to implement and improved land record system in the province, according to a news source. In this system, the ‘fard’ for the record would be issued by franchises of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), with banks to be given direct access to issue a ‘fard’ for a loan.
Anwer made these statements in a meeting with a delegation from World Bank, who he credited with playing a pivotal role in the digitisation of rural land records. He also acknowledged the support of the international body in technical expertise, monitoring, and operations.
