Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tahir Farooq has directed the relevant authorities to provide the best facilities and security to the tourists visiting Murree during the Eid holidays, according to the news story published in the national dailies on April 29.

The DC held a meeting with officers of different departments to ensure that tourists coming to Murree for the holidays aren’t mistreated. He informed that holidays of all the departments including the Murree Administration have been cancelled during Eid. Further, he added that full security must be provided to visitors. He also mentioned that the provision of proper facilities to the visitors is a top priority of the government.

It is pertinent to note that Commissioner Noorul Amin Mengal has ordered the Highway Department to construct and rehabilitate several roads in Murree before Eid ul Fitr so tourists will not have to experience any inconvenience. The commissioner identified 3-kilometer long road, from Lower Topa to Jhika Street, for repair and maintenance.
