Landi Kotal: An official delegation visited Besai hilltop in Bara and called for its development, as per a news report. The delegation consisted of Governor Shah Farman, Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Shaheen Mazhar Mehmud, Inspector General Frontier Corps Maj Gen Rahat Naseem Ahmad, and the provincial minister for sports and culture.
The visitors identified Besai as an ideal tourism spot. They also announced the building of a road leading up to the resort. Besai Hilltop Resort overlooks most parts of Hayatabad Township, and some parts of Jamrud and Bara.
A large-scale plantation drive will also be launched in the area. Tourist spots will be established to attract visitors from Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunwa, and the rest of the country.
Governor Shah Farman said that developing Besai Hills as a tourist resort would be a positive step. It will lead to the establishment of more visiting spots in the area.
The tribal elders and residents of the region will be consulted throughout this process, in order to keep their concerns at the forefront.
