Zaidi was talking to the media after a meeting of the subcommittee of Public Accounts Committee. Earlier in the meeting they reviewed the objections on the audit of 1999 to 2001, and 2004 to 2005.
FBR was instructed to try and resolve the objections through a Departmental Accounts Committee (DAC) before bringing it to the PAC subcommittee. They were also directed to prioritize the resolution of audit paras that are nearly 20 years old since that can help raise revenue for the FBR.
