Mansehra: The district administration has executed beautification schemes worth PKR 700 million in five tehsils of Mansehra District, according to a news published on May 07.

The provincial government has approved these funds for Tehsils Balakot, Mansehra, Oghi, Darband and Baffa-Pakhal. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-Finance) Nazima Shaheen revealed that the government has allocated such a large sum for the first time to execute uplift schemes in the district. She said 44 beautification schemes were approved for five tehsils of Mansehra and work on 24 of them were either launched or completed.
ADC Shaheen said that the schemes were aimed at the installation of monuments at key places, preservation of historical sites, construction of nullas and writing of welcome greetings on mountainous and recreational places of Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road and Karakoram Highway. She said that the government has released PKR 438 million for various schemes already and will release the remaining amount as the work progresses.

The official also assured that nullahs or sewers will be developed around Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road and Karakoram Highway to ensure proper disposal of rainwater and prevent flooding of these main road arteries.
