Quetta: The Balochistan government, keen on beautifying the provincial capital, is currently pursuing several rehabilitative projects in the city, a news source quoted Chief Secretary Captain (retired) Fazeel Aghar as saying. He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting held to review the progress on the ongoing and planned uplift initiatives.

He announced that a comprehensive plan to restore the beauty of Quetta would be introduced; adding that this initiative will help revive the city’s unique aura. He directed the officials concerned to launch multiple plantation drives under the Quetta beautification campaign, as well as ensure the availability of recreational facilities in the city.
The chief secretary also instructed his staff to fix the sewerage system in the city and attend to the cleanliness issues. Talking about cleanliness issues, he mentioned the threats polythene bags posed to the environment and instructed the meeting members to share a plan on ways to discourage the use of plastic bags in the next meeting.
