Rawalpindi: Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has started its work to beautify Rawalpindi as per the instructions given by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, reported a news source. In this regard, various tasks have been assigned to the concerned departments.

To discuss the beautification plans, a meeting took place in Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Office yesterday. Member National Assembly Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, businessmen representing Kartarpur Traders Union and heads of the related public departments attended the meeting.

The meeting members decided to immediately implement the plans to beautify Kartarpur Food Street, rehabilitate the buildings in the street, and provide a parking area. Sharing further details on the plans for beautifying the city, the PHA Chairman Asif Mehmood said that the authority is looking to introduce attractive features on all entry and exit point of Rawalpindi as well as on all main roads and markets.
