Rawalpindi: A plan is in place for the beautification of Rawalpindi, for which 1% budget of all development schemes will be utilised by Parks & Horticulture Authority for the purpose, reported a news source. Under the plan, all intersections will be decorated, while traffic signals will also be reduced.
According to PHA Chairman Raja Asif Mehmood, Murree Road will be decorated to reflect the cultural diversity of Pakistan in addition to beautifying the road, its underpasses and overhead bridges with plants and flowers. Upgradation of Rawal Road and several intersections in the city will also be carried out.
Furthermore, all buildings located between Mareer Chowk and Faizabad will be improved by hiring the services of famous architect Azam Rasheed. For this purpose, the buildings will be repaired and adorned with calligraphy. In addition to that, Gymkhana will be made more functional by providing related facilities to its members.
