Peshawar: The process to beautify the 26-kilometre long track of Bus Rapid Transit has kicked off, reported a news source. Instructions in this regard were given by Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) Director General Israr-ul-Haq.
Under this drive, greenbelts will be set up initially in empty spaces along and near Capt. Roohullah Chowk, Chimkani Depot, Gulbahar Chowk, and Hayyatabad Industrial Estate Chowk Flyover. Work in this regard is being carried out under the supervision of PDA Horticulture Department Director Riaz Ali. The chosen spots will have evergreen and flowering plants and there will not be any additional cost to the project for its beautification.
Beautification of BRT, which is being carried out under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Clean and Green Pakistan initiative, will be completed under the PC-1 of the project by March 2019.
