Faisalabad: All Pakistan Cotton Power looms Association (APCPA) ex-Chairman Rana Ikhlaq Ahmed has demanded that the new government should introduce basic changes in the tax structure, reported a news source. The changes are deemed vital for improving the social structure in the country.
Ahmed believes that the current taxation system is benefiting the rich and causing further trouble for the low-income class. The demand for drop in indirect taxes and bringing oil prices down was also put forth.
He also mentioned that the country is currently going through an economic crunch where keeping a control on inflation rate is crucial and much needed. He believes that ignoring this part will bring along a rise in interest rates and a drop in growth rate, all of which will adversely affect the common man.
