Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to launch the first-ever green and sustainable housing scheme in the Bannu district, according to news published on August 9.

KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan chaired a meeting to discuss the proposed housing schemes. The attendees were informed that the said project will be developed on the southern part of Bannu, connected with the Bannu-Lakki road. As per the details, it will be the first sustainable housing scheme to be developed in the province with all modern civic facilities.

Moreover, the Provincial Working Development Party (PWDP) has approved the PC-II for the housing scheme, worth PKR 62 million. During the meeting, it was decided that the execution of the project will be handed over to the housing department so the work can be started as early as possible. The chief minister mentioned that the project is vital to meet the growing requirements for residential accommodations in the southern part of KP.
