Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah officially inaugurated the Bannu Economic Zone (BEZ) with a ceremony, according to the details shared on January 24.

As per the details, the ceremony was attended by officials including Industries Provincial Minister Dr Aamer Abdullah and Industries Secretary Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, as well as representatives from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KP-EZDMC).
During the ceremony, the CM KP personally handed out allotment letters to investors eager to participate in this new economic venture. Highlighting the zone’s key features, it was revealed that the BEZ spans 415 acres, accommodating 265 industrial units of varying scales. It is anticipated to attract investments totalling PKR 10 billion and generate approximately 16,000 direct and 48,000 indirect job opportunities.

The CM KP was also briefed on the overall performance of KP-EZDMC, focusing on existing and upcoming economic zones in the province. With 14 operational economic zones and four more in progress, the province is witnessing a surge in industrial activity, with a cumulative investment of PKR 346 billion.
