Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has ramped up efforts to expedite construction on the Controlled Access Corridor Band Road project, responding to a deadline, according to a news article on July 30.

Progress updates were shared during a recent site visit by LDA DG Tahir Farooq, along with LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed and project officials. Asphalt laying and lane marking are almost done, with continuous work on a 1.8 km section. Despite delays from monsoon rains, final touches to the service road are being made, and the toll plaza construction from Babu Sabu Chowk to the corridor is ongoing.
Additionally, a meeting led by LDA DG focused on digital transformation initiatives, including using “Digital File Processing” software to streamline operations. Over PKR 22 million have been recovered through better record checks in Johar Town.

Looking ahead, LDA DG emphasised adopting one-click processing for cleared files to speed up applications and pledged to maintain a paperless environment, highlighting the importance of record checks. These initiatives aim to meet project deadlines and improve efficiency and service delivery at LDA.
