Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is gearing up to take stringent actions against non-filers, with plans to block mobile SIM cards and phones of such individuals within the current month, according to January 3.

As per the details, the FBR is prepared to implement strict measures targeting non-filers. The initial phase involves the blocking of mobile SIM cards and phones, with the FBR set to issue an Income Tax General order by January 15.

In addition to this, the FBR is formulating a strategy to disconnect electricity and gas connections for non-filers. Up to now, the FBR faces challenges in obtaining complete data regarding the electricity connections of individuals who have not filed their taxes.
