Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday extended the ban on the usage of plastic bags to Faisalabad and Gujranwala, according to a news source. The court had previously banned the use of polythene bags in Lahore.
The court gave the directives while hearing a petition filed by Advocate Abuzar Salman Khan. The LHC directed Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Director General (DG) Farzana Altaf Shah to implement the order by informing the owners/managers of big stores.
