Islamabad: The Balochistan government has planned to use domestic tourism to generate revenue for the national exchequer, a news source reported. For this purpose, the provincial government plans to effectively promote domestic tourism.

An official of the Balochistan government revealed that the authorities concerned will provide training to the relevant officials/departments. He said that this measure will ensure that tourists enjoy a relaxing and entertaining experience.
The official added that the province has significant potential for the tourism sector. He said that Balochistan was home to a range of cultural and historical sites that appealed to both local and international tourists.

While chairing a meeting recently, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan also highlighted Pakistan’s overall potential for tourism. The PM stressed the importance of taking advantage of this untapped resource, and said that the country needed to be developed in to a new tourist hub. He added that this would boost the country’s tourism sector, and create more job opportunities.
