Quetta: Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi on Sunday presented the provincial budget for (Fiscal Year) FY2020-21 with a total outlay of PKR 465.528 billion, according to news sources.

Additionally, PKR 156 billion have been allocated for the development-related expenditures and PKR 309 billion have been allocated for non-development expenditures. The budget shows a PKR 87 billion deficit.
The minister said that PKR 63.5 billion has been allocated for developing the education sector and PKR 38 billion have been allocated to provide the latest healthcare facilities to the underprivileged. Furthermore, PKR 44 billion has also been set aside for the enhancement of law and order situation in the province.

For rural development and provision of basic amenities to the people residing in remote areas, the government has allocated PKR 13 billion. A sum of PKR 11 billion would be granted to improve the agriculture sector and over PKR 33 billion have been allocated for communication and works’ development expenditure with PKR 11 billion allocated for the non-development expenses.
