Quetta: Finance Minister Balochistan Zahoor Ahmed Buledi recently revealed that the provincial government had introduced several development schemes in the Kech district and that it was now up to the local authorities to complete these projects on time, according to news sources.

The minister made these comments while presiding over a meeting to review the development projects launched in the Kech district to improve the lives of the area’s residents. He directed the authority concerned to ensure that the said projects were being constructed in line with the best quality standards, and further warned that any negligence would not be tolerated by the government.

Minister Buledi directed Makran Division Commissioner Tariq Qamar to visit the project site and inform him of any hurdles that were obstructing development so that each problem could be properly addressed. He also assured that the funds for the projects would be released soon in order to ensure the timely completion of the water supply scheme, the Turbat-Buleda road, and the agriculture and education sectors’ schemes.
Meanwhile, during the meeting, the provincial finance minister was also informed that a screening facility had been set up at the Turbat International Airport, and that all-out efforts were being made to stem the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic across the division.
