Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan Alyani recently took notice of the issue of illegally obtained domiciles for securing government jobs that were reserved for locals under the provincial quota and has initiated proceedings to see to their cancellation, according to a news report published on July 7.

Reportedly, many non-residents have acquired jobs in various provincial and federal departments, after obtaining the domiciles through unlawful means. To prevent future instances, the chief minister recently directed the deputy commissioners concerned to launch a campaign and verify all the domiciles and other certification issued within their respective districts.

Following these directives, the Mastung’s deputy commissioner has cancelled the illegally obtained domiciles of over 400 people after verification. Moreover, the district deputy commissioners in Balochistan have urged people to get their domiciles verified by the authorities concerned.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Governor Justice (retired) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has called for the dismissal of people who have secured jobs on fake domiciles; requesting the provincial executive to see to the matter.
