Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan Alyani met with a delegation of journalists and said that the government will consider preparing a media policy and will initiate the work on a media academy shortly, according to news sources. He added that the land for a journalists’ colony will be provided soon as well.
The minister admitted that the newspaper community is facing a lot of issues and that the government will strive to resolve them.

During a meeting with a delegation of ‘Women Balochistan – a non-profit organisation’ on Thursday, the minister said that the government is working to offer better facilities to its people in the fields of education, human resource & skill development and health. He stated that the women have a great role to play in the development of any society.

The minister revealed that a draft law to make social protection more effective is also in the works and will be tabled before the provincial assembly soon enough.
