Quetta: The Balochistan government has directed all provincial departments to finalise the PC-1 of all development projects announced under the budget for the fiscal year (FY) 2019-20, a news source reported. For this purpose, the provincial government has issued a deadline of July 31 to the departments concerned.

The executive has asked the officials to finalise the PC-1 of these projects on an immediate basis in order to begin the development work on these initiatives.
The directives were given during a meeting held at the Chief Minister (CM) House to review the departmental progress in relation to the projects announced for the current fiscal year. The CM’s secretary chaired the meeting, with several other officials in attendance.
The attendees reviewed several projects for immediate commencement in the province. These included Green Bus Service, Roshan Balochistan, and Green Tractors Scheme.

Previously, the provincial government had reserved funds worth PKR 108 billion for the various development projects in the budget announced for FY 2019-20. Funds were allocated for projects pertaining to various sectors, including tourism, water supply, mining, and forests.
