He explained that the implementation of the master plan would facilitate the provision of a quality lifestyle experience to the local population. He added that the executive had previously informed Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan of the minor amendments made to the port city’s master plan.
Earlier this year, GDA Chairman Naseer Khan Kashani had stated that the Gwadar Smart Port City master plan would transform Gwadar into a commercial hub – providing enormous leverage for industrial expansion and international marine trade development.
Kashani explained that they had divided the maps and guidelines for Gwadar’s development into three timelines – namely 2025, 2035, and 2050. He added that their key focus for the master plan over the next five years was to ensure the availability of basic civic necessities in the city.

He said that that they had discussed and finalised the required modalities for this project. Additionally, Gwadar would have a coal-based 300-megawatt power project.
Kashani said that they had prioritised water and sewage line development, construction of road networks and installation of security cameras for making improvement to the command and control systems of the port city.
