Quetta: The Balochistan government has announced the land lease policy for foreign investors after the provincial cabinet meeting, a news source reported. The Balochistan Information Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi explained that the Balochistan Government will allot land to foreign investors on a lease instead of giving them ownership rights.
However, the government is yet to decide the period of lease. The minister was holding a press conference after a two-day cabinet meeting. He stated that the cabinet had noticed that there were no provisions for lease of land to foreign investors in the current land lease policy. So the government will now introduce the lease policy for foreign investors. An allotment committee will also be formed for the purpose.
He said that the ownership rights of the leased land will remain with Pakistani individual, companies or authorities.
