Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has approved the establishment of e-facilitation centres in all districts of Balochistan, a news source reported on May 8.

As per the details, the work of different departments will be streamlined via e-facilitation centres. It will also provide services to the citizens under a one-window operation. The first e-facilitation centre will be established in Quetta and later in other districts of the province.
For establishing an e-facilitation centre across the province, the Department of Science and Information Technology has been assigned the task of identifying suitable abandoned or underutilised buildings with the help of deputy commissioners. In order to provide a smooth implementation of e-service centres, the Science and IT department will provide technical support.

It was mentioned that urban facilitation centres will be set up on the basis of population and geography to provide multiple services under the same roof. The total cost of setting up an e-facilitation centre in each district will be PKR 10 million, while an amount of PKR 350 million will be required for setting up the centres all districts.
