Quetta: The Balochistan government plans to convert the Khuzdar district into a tourist attraction, a news source reported. In this regard, the provincial Chief Secretary (CS) Fazeel Asghar addressed a briefing on Monday.

The CS stated that the provincial government has comprehensive plans to boost tourism in the Jhalawan area of the district. He added that they want to develop the tourism sector so that the province can attract tourists from across the country. He highlighted that visitors can expect to enjoy the area’s natural resorts, including the mountains, lakes, and cascades.
CS Asghar also stated that there were other areas in Khuzdar with a potential for tourism. These included Chharo, Mulla Chatok, Pati Ajhal, and Warwam. He added that these sites were quite beautiful and feasible for conversion into tourist resorts.

Earlier, Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ilyas Kabazia briefed the CS regarding potential tourist places in the district. In response, the CS stressed that focus should remain on these tourist spots, for the development of the province.
Asghar said that the provincial government would make efforts to develop potential tourist areas. He added that they would make special arrangements at these tourist spots so that people from other regions can enjoy their beauty, and promote a positive image of Balochistan.
