Quetta: The Balochistan government on Sunday notified the completion of Phase 1 of the Hanglaj Mandir Link Road project in Lasbela, a news source reported. The officials concerned revealed that the project falling adjacent to the Coastal Highway was completed with special funds issued on the orders of Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan.

Following the road’s completion, representatives of the local minority community extended their thanks to the Balochistan government. According to details, Parliamentary Secretary on Minority Affairs Dinesh Kumar had approved the project at a cost of PKR 120 million. The Hanglaj Mandir Link Road spans 13 kilometres and connects to the historic Hanglaj Temple adjacent to the Gwadar Coastal Highway.

Sources revealed that during phase 1 of the project, the authorities concerned completed 90% of the technical work. They completed the Phase 1 this week and would complete Phase 2 during the next financial year. The officials concerned said that progress was underway on this project for the welfare of the local minority community, along with several projects at Hanglaj Mata Mandir.
