Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jamal Kamal stated that the provincial government was looking to formulate effective policies to develop the 700-kilometre long Balochistan coastline as a tourist attraction, a news source reported. He made this statement while chairing a meeting with the Coastal Development Authority on Monday.

The CM said that efficiently implementing policies developed for the Balochistan coastal strip could drastically improve the tourism and energy sectors of the province. It was his belief that initiatives in this direction would help improve the local economy a great deal. One such initiative, to develop five tourist resorts along the coastal areas, is already in the pipeline.

CM Kamal highlighted Pasni, Kund Malir, Gadani, Haft Talar and Jiwani islands as the most scenic locations along the Balochistan coastline. He stated that these places required government assistance to flourish and develop as popular tourist spots, and vowed that his government would make every effort to achieve this goal.
