Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Tuesday held a review meeting to check the progress of various development projects, according to news sources.

Additional Chief Secretary for Planning and Development Hafiz Abdul Basit briefed the meeting on the progress of the ongoing and new uplift projects, which were included in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in the existing fiscal year.
As per details shared, 2,286 new development schemes and 1,525 ongoing schemes were included in the PSDP. In addition, the additional chief secretary informed the attendees of the meeting on 184 major projects.
Moreover, the meeting was apprised about the new plans for the ongoing financial year. It includes 2,131 DSC (Development Sub-committee) and 155 Provincial Development Working Party’s (PDWP) development schemes. It was mentioned that the meetings of forums related to the approval of new uplift schemes should be held regularly.
CM Jam Kamal Khan ordered the officials concerned to complete preliminary work of the new projects within this month. He also stated that all the projects were important and must be completed within the stipulated time. Similarly, the chief minister directed to speed up the work on ongoing projects. CM Khan mentioned that socio-economic development will be achieved through a network of roads across the province.

Provincial Ministers Noor Muhammad Dummar, Abdul Khaliq Hazara and Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Asfandyar Khan, Director of Public Relations, and secretaries of departments concerned were present at the meeting.
