Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan on Tuesday directed the officials concerned to ensure the early implementation of the Quetta Master Plan, a news source reported. He further sought the master plan execution of 30 other towns in the province.

CM Kamal chaired a high-level meeting during which he reviewed the master plan of Quetta and various other towns across Balochistan. During the meeting, he directed the relevant authorities for enacting the legislation for amendments in old laws in order to curb illegal constructions. The CM also expressed his concern pertaining to the delay in the preparation and implementation of the Quetta Master Plan.
The meeting also announced its decision to ban the construction of new roads developed under the Quetta Package. Additionally, decision was taken with regard to the regularisation of the process for issuing No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to private housing schemes.

Officials concerned also briefed the members of the meeting on the ongoing developmental projects in the province.
