Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Tuesday directed the authorities concerned to set up an online portal – on a trial basis – for the public to lodge complaints against the performance of various government departments, according to news sources.

Alyani gave these directives while presiding over a meeting held to review the performance of the Chief Minister’s Delivery Unit (CMDU). The meeting reviewed the CMDU performance and approved its expansion.
The chief minister said that the unit was established to gradually formulate and run an e-governance system, and opined that it will enable fast and efficient execution of the government affairs and enhance it by supervising the performance of the government departments.

Furthermore, Alyani gave orders for the establishment of a file tracking system under the CMDU – which will be categorised by districts and divisions. In addition, he directed the authorities concerned to set up a Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) Automation and Monitoring System.
On the subject of the prevailing coronavirus situation in the country, Alyani said that the provincial government will offer appreciation certificates to the volunteers working hard to facilitate the general public and contain the virus spread.
