Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Wednesday discussed the expansion of the Saindak cooper-gold project with Chinese officials during a meeting held in the provincial capital, according to a news source. He stated that the Balochistan government had ‘opened its arms to investment in the province’.

He made these statements and conducted this discussion during a meeting with President MRDL Saindak Company Wang Jicheng and Chairman HeXuping in Quetta. He said that the provincial government is seeking to sign a number of long-term agreements with private companies interested in investing in Balochistan. He also briefed the delegation on the mineral policy 2019.

He told the Chinese officials that a number of mining companies were interested in doing business with the Balochistan government, and also discussed the expansion of the Saindak project with these officials. He talked about partnership in all mineral, oil, and gas projects in the province, and emphasised that there would be no compromise on provincial resources.
