Quetta: The provincial cabinet has approved four amendments to the government’s land revenue policy which would ensure that women receive their share in family properties within 30 days, a news source reported.

Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan, who presided over the cabinet meeting in the provincial capital, approved to set up a land record management system for digitisation of provincial land record.
The cabinet also constituted a committee to assess the damage caused by heavy floods in December last year. It comprises a senior member of the Board of Revenue, communications secretary, director general of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), and other officials concerned.

Moreover, the cabinet directed the public health engineering department to finalise documentation for launching a clean drinking water project. Under this initiative, electricity would be converted into solar energy. The project would cost approximately PKR 4 billion.
