Balochistan: The Balochistan government unveiled its annual budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 on Friday, amounting to PKR 930 billion as reported on June 21.

According to the details, Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani presented the Finance Bill 2025 to the Balochistan Assembly. According to Radio Pakistan, the budget allocates PKR 609 billion for non-development expenditures and Rs321 billion for developmental expenses.
Key Budget Allocations:
– Education: PKR 146.9 billion
– Health: PKR 20 billion
– Agriculture Development: Over PKR 23.8 billion
– Food Security: Over PKR 1 billion
For the first time in Balochistan’s history, 70% of the approved development projects have been included in the budget proposal, marking a significant milestone in the province’s development strategy. The budget also announced a 25% increase in salaries for government employees from Grade 1 to 16, and a 22% increase for employees from Grade 17 to 22. Additionally, pensions will see a 15% rise.

Earlier in the day, the Balochistan cabinet approved the budget proposal, agreeing to include 100% of the approved development projects. CM Bugti warned that no additional funds will be released to departments that show delays in implementing projects, urging authorities to ensure timely completion of the approved projects.
This budget follows the presentation of federal and provincial budgets by other provinces, including Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, earlier in the month.
