Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar has ordered the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to conduct the balloting of the Nilore Heights-1 project before May 8, according to news published on April 26. The project is being exclusively developed for overseas Pakistanis.

Reportedly, Finance Minister Dar gave these orders in a meeting held to review CDA’s projects for overseas Pakistanis. The meeting was briefed on the provision of commercial and residential plots for overseas Pakistanis based on open auctions. Minister Dar ordered the authority to expedite the development projects launched for expatriates, including Nilore Heights.
The meeting was also informed that the registration for plots in Sectors C-14 and C-16 for expatriates will be launched in the next phase and dedicated. The CDA has also set up facilitating counters to assist overseas Pakistanis.

Moreover, the minister asked for an accelerated development pace on Kuri and Overseas Enclave projects. He instructed that special incentives should be given to investors who make payments in US dollars for the commercial plots in auctions, in a bid to boost foreign exchange reserves. Minister Dar asked for a scheme for the auction of plots in Sectors C-14 and C-16 should be planned by the middle of next month.
