Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority and the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) on Monday held the second ballot for the 383 applicants for the LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments, according to news sources.

As per the shared details, in the initial phase, as many 4,000 low-cost Naya Pakistan Apartments are being developed in LDA City, as part of the government’s flagship ‘Naya . Of these units, as many as 2,000 apartments are to be allocated to the NAPHDA-registered applicants, while the remaining 2,000 apartments are reserved for the LDA-registered applicants.

For applicants registered with NAPHDA, the government will provide a subsidy of PKR 300,000 and the applicants will have to deposit a 10% amount as the down payment. The remaining amount will be payable as mortgage finance through banks. The applicants will repay the amount in form of easy instalments over a tenure of 5 to 20 years. The repayment of the instalment will be initiated after the applicants are given possession of their apartments.
